Here are the top five reasons to own Sea Ray’s most luxurious and technologically advanced SLX models:

1. At least three distinct gathering areas create a greater sense of space

Up front, the bowriding seating group is highlighted by forward-facing seats with armrests and backrests that have the perfect amount of recline and are, arguably, the best seats in the house. Available tables make this a perfect place to hang out with friends.

On all models, the cockpit has an L-shaped cockpit seating group to port that maximizes seating capacity and traffic flow. Co-pilot captain’s chairs can swivel inward and opposing seats to starboard help create a social seating group.

The stern section shines when the boat is at rest with features like a rear-facing lounge seat for multiple guests. On MerCruiser sterndrive models, the even larger swim platforms can be optioned with a submersible wsim step that allows those relaxing to sit submerged and also makes it easy for people and dogs to reboard after a swim.

2. The latest technology makes boating easier, more fun and more comfortable

On SLX models, standard features like Active Trim and options like the Dynamic Running Surface help keep the boat running at the perfect angle and improve performance, fuel economy and comfort. Quiet-Ride Technology is standard and dampens sound and vibration. At the helm, standard dual Simrad multi-function displays help keep the driver informed on all aspects of the boat’s operation and also help guide them to their destination.

In the past few years, Mercury has revamped its larger outboard lineup and SLX Outboard models have the latest V8, V10 and V12 models that are more powerful, fuel-efficient and easy to maintain. MerCruiser sterndrives are tucked away to create a sleek look and are user-friendly and powerful. The SLX 260 Surf has a Four S outdrive with forward-facing props that are tucked under the hull to allow wake surfing.

3. Storage is maximized

SLX 260 and SLX 260 Outboard models are rated to carry up to 15 guests and larger SLX models are yacht-certified, meaning there is no set limit so having ample storage is paramount. Under all bench seats are storage compartments with hinged lids that stay open thanks to gas-assisted rams. In-floor storage compartments are perfect for large items like skis and inflatable tubes.

4. SLX models are the ultimate expression of luxury, comfort, and style

SLX is known for luxurious comfort, premium materials and ample boating amenities to enhance a day on the water. All models feature premium upholstery with diamond stitching that is perfectly padded for support and comfort. To help achieve that quintessential Sea Ray look is a team of talented and diverse designers including Carrie Fodor and Kristin McGinnis, the all-woman team who designed the award-winning SLX 260.

5. Optional features allow owners to customize their SLX boats to match their lifestyles

For those who want to maximize the entertainment potential of their SLX model, upscale options are available, like teak tables, lighting packages that include interior LED-RGB-W and underwater lights, premium Fusion stereo systems with 1400-2400-Watt Apollo amps, upgraded speakers and subwoofers. For select SLX models, there are also electric grill and refrigerator options perfect for a day of entertaining.
